The National Medical Qigong Hospital and Training Centre is the only state sponsored Qigong facility that exists in China and it continues to treat patients and to provide training to individuals and groups from around the world. The one hundred and twenty six thousand square metre facility is situated in the coastal resort of Beidaihe, just 100 metres from the sea
The Beidaihe centre uses Qigong therapy along with Traditional Chinese Medicine (herbal medicine, acupuncture and Tui Na (Chinese massage) and Western Medicine to improve and invigorate the functions of the respiratory system, the digestive and nervous systems and the immune system. This system has proved successful in treating a number of conditions including gastric ulcers, chronic enteritis, diabetes, hypertension, coronary heart disease, arthritis, cervical vertebrae disease, and recovery from cancer surgery, achieving success in 90% of patients treated.
The Nei Yang Gong system of Qigong has also proved successful in relieving stress, depression, anxiety and similar emotional conditions.
The Beidaihe Qigong hospital continues to treat a range of diseases using Nei Yang Gong Qigong and the Training Centre hosts groups and individuals from around the World including the UK, the USA, Germany, France, Sweden, and Japan.
Some those who have visited the Beidaihe training centre have gone on to successfully complete the Nei Yang Gong Qigong and Taijiquan instructor certification program.
The Beidaihe centre offers training and courses in all aspects of Nei Yang Gong Qigong, Taijiquan (the Yang style 24 posture simplified form, the 42 Competition form, Wu style, Chen style, Taiji sword and pushing hands), and Qigong massage.
The centre also offers TCM medical diagnosis, treatment and therapy making it an ideal environment for those recovering from illness or poor health.
The centre offers single and double rooms with western style toilets and private bathroom and shower, with air conditioning and satellite TV.
The dining facility provides breakfast, lunch and dinner offering a superb range of Hebei provincial style Chinese food.
The outdoor training areas at the centre are situated amongst the many hundreds of pine trees growing in the centre grounds and the natural energy mixed with the fresh sea air provides a wonderful environment in which to practice, rest and relax.
The Beidaihe centre also offers sauna, steam room and other treatments in its spa facility.
The sandy beach and ocean are just a short walk from the centre, the Beidaihe town centre is a short taxi or bicycle ride away and city of Qinghuandao can be reached by bus or taxi within 30 or so minutes. Beidaihe is easily accessible by train from Beijing with a number of trains running daily to Beidaihe station from the capital
